In ancient times, the land of Yilan , known as “Kavalan,” thrived as a
flourishing terrain, cradled by the majestic Snow Mountain range and
enriched by the fertile Lanyang Plain, where pristine water sources
and distinctive terroir converged to inspire the creation of this exquisite
whisky. Drawing upon this exceptional natural bounty, the Kavalan
Distillery has crafted the inaugural Peatist Series, a bold pursuit of
peated whisky tailored to a subtropical climate.
Distilled from premium peated malt and matured in the finest Oloroso
sherry casks from Spain’s Sherry Triangle, this whisky melds rich
dried fruit notes with Kavalan’s signature tropical vibrancy.
